LatticeSoft announced the release of Lattice.SPGen 2.1, a stored procedure generator that supports Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2 UDB and PostgreSQL. Microsoft has released the December CTP of WinFx, the combination of Windows Presentation Foundation (Avalon), Windows Communication Foundation (Indigo), and Windows Workflow Foundation. This CTP marks the first public availability of the Visual Studio XAML Designer (Cider) and is compatible with Build 5270 of Windows Vista.
IComponent based objects have basically been rendered useless in ASP.NET 2.0. However, they still work perfectly fine in WinForms design mode. This feature was in ASP.NET 1.0 and the alterative is now to hand code it all.
