The Benjamin Royal Sonesta is a smoke-free environment. Smoking in your room will result in a $250 cleaning fee.

Our 24-hour fitness center is located on the 3rd floor of our Midtown East hotel. We provide treadmills, elliptical trainers, exercise bikes, a Peloton bike, yoga mats and free weights for guest use. Hand towels and water are provided, along with men’s and women’s locker rooms and shower area.

Absolutely! Make Traveling with Pets Simple. We’re thrilled to welcome guests and their pets with our PAWS (Pets Are Welcome At Sonesta) program at The Benjamin Royal Sonesta. When you and your pet check in, we’ll greet you with a PAWS Welcome Letter and complimentary dog treats. Plus, we’ll have your room ready with a water dish, feeding bowl and waterproof mat. The Benjamin Royal Sonesta and The Fifty Sonesta offer valet parking for $75/day for a sedan or $85/day for an SUV. No in/out privileges.

The Shelburne Sonesta offers curbside valet parking for $75 a day or $85 a day for oversized vehicles, without in-and-out privileges.

The Gardens Sonesta ES Suites offers valet parking for $70 per 24-hour period for cars and $80 for oversized vehicles (SUVs and minivans). The Gardens Sonesta ES Suites self-parking option is $45 per 24-hour period for cars and $55 for oversized vehicles (SUVs and minivans) per every 24-hour period. Please note there are no in-and-out privileges for either parking option.

The Benjamin Royal Sonesta features accessible areas at the hotel entrance, registration desk, meeting rooms, public restrooms and fitness center as well as select guestrooms and suites.

Accessibility features in the hotel include braille signage throughout hotel, accessible, fully automatic entrance door with wide openings, lobby free of any steps, accessible registration with lowered desk, service animals welcomed, two guest elevators and one service elevator serving each level of hotel, including guestrooms, meeting rooms, fitness center and ADA public restrooms on 2nd floor and all meeting rooms on 2nd floor wheelchair accessible and free of any steps.

Room categories at The Benjamin Royal Sonesta offer an ADA-accessible option for guests to enjoy. Relax in comfort, in the newly renovated rooms and suites at The Benjamin Royal Sonesta, made complete with lowered countertop height level for easy access in the kitchenette and bathroom, handheld showers, shower control locations, grab bars and shower or tub seat grab bars, and roll-in shower available upon request.

The hotel completed a full renovation in 2024 of the lobby, Sonesta Work Suite and all guestrooms and suites in partnership with design firm DLR Group, an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse across various building types.
