RPG MAKER ZINE NOW FREE TO READ

RPG Maker Zine has left the purchase period and is now available to read for free! It’s non profit zine containing over 80 pages of art by 70+ contributors for classic games, newer titles, and more niche releases!

Donations as of posting are current enabled on the itchio page. These donations will go to Crips for Esims for Gaza!

Donations will be disabled after the shipping period but I encourage you to donate on yourself if you’d like!

HI AND BYE!! THANK YOU!!

Funds have officially been donated. We donated $120.14 to Crips for eSims for Gaza (here is the receipt)! I hope that these connections can be used to enable some Palestinian families to have internet access in Gaza!

Normally at this time, we’d be announcing another zine or preparing for one, but that was a very long process, so we are resting for a bit longer than usual.

Donations for the Itchio files are now closed. There will be no leftover sales because there just really aren’t many leftovers. As always, if you really loved a piece of merch, I recommend checking out the original artists’ accounts and letting them know.

Please consider making a donation to Crips for Esims for Gaza. Gazans are still alive and need Esims!

Yes, the RPG Maker zine celebrates games from back then but also modern games even outside of the horror genre ^^ A lot of the mods are developers or deep in the community so we tried to celebrate every era!

SALUTATIONS!

The final batches are now off, including anyone who reached out to us about any issues (or that we reached out to). Here’s info/burning questions. Some of this is addressed in card.

  • All tracking numbers have been reissued and dropped off. Any not scanned by USPS is just because the local post likes to wait to scan things for ages.
  • Leftover sales are likely not going to happen in an official capacity due to me, head mod and shipping mod, becoming disabled and my housing currently being unstable as a result of that. Apologies.
  • Charity will be donated to during May. This is to make sure no random production or shipping expenses come out of the blue. This will be posted, so do not worry.
  • The final exception to this are packages that are returned to us for any reason. I’ve reached out to everyone this has happened to. As always, please keep an eye on your tracking numbers.
  • The Itchio page will accept donations until we donate the last bit of funds to charity!!

UPDATE AGAIN

What a silly problem to have so close to the finish line..

The main goal this weekend is to ship off any packages and missing things I’ve been contacted about! We’re down to the last dozenish, but you know, there’s always stuff to do.

PSAs

  • PEEL THE CLEAR LAYERS OFF YOUR CHARMS PLEEEASE
  • If you are missing anything in your package, please let me Know. I have said this many times, but as we reach the final stretch and I finish up my own tasks, it’s important. It becomes more difficult to ship things out as time passes for a variety of reasons.
  • If a shipment is returned, please contact me. I hope to contact you, but these packages may still marked as delivered/in transit for me, so I only know when it is the case if you contact me in advance or I get a notification from my post office when the shipment arrived. This has only happened once that I’m aware of, but I want to keep note of it. These packages can be returned for a variety of reasons and I may have to discuss it with you as well to make sure it doesn’t happen again!

I have the missing packages emailed to me thus far noted down. Most went out last batch, but I know for some people (especially abroad) that you are still receiving things.

Do not be afraid to reach out, even if it took you a while to receive your package!! I make mistakes and I also ship with other people. We’re all human and disabled so we make mistakes and I want to fix them for you!!!!! It is why I ask so much!!

The theme of the thirteenth Object Head Zine is “Villains”.

Let's celebrate the bad guys this time around, let the horrors win, and have the darkness claim the day. This year's zine wants you to imagine what if the baddies got their way and show off how cool being villains can be.

This book will feature 29 people I’ve selected, plus 31 open slots available to the public for a total of 60 participants! This year’s zine is a PAID OPPORTUNITY of $115 USD per page (an increase from previous years!). Participants will be paid as soon as they complete their piece  (give or take a week for PayPal to transfer funds). There will be a pre-order sale to cover the costs of printing and shipping.

The guidelines are as follows:

  • Illustration-quality works in either digital or traditional mediums. Both colour and b/w acceptable; background required. *BG can be as simple as a pattern or colour block!
  • 6”x9”, 300 DPI illustrations with a 1/8th inch bleed (FINAL DIMENSIONS SHOULD BE 6.25” x 9.25”) Works must be in CMYK, and in a vertical format only.
  • At least one (1) work in progress picture should be sent in with your final illustration.
  • For consistency’s sake, keep faces to a minimum (You can have eye(s) or you can have mouth(s) but don’t have both in a humanoid arrangement.)
  • Original characters only (yours or your friends’).
  • You can include humans or other creatures, as long as there’s a 1:1   object head to non-object head/human ratio.
  • This book is for all ages. PG-13 content at the most! Cartoon violence and blood are acceptable, but realistic gore is NOT. Use your common sense. If you’re unsure, run the idea by me.
  • Protagonists can be included in the composition but we want to make sure the villain is the main focus.
  • Completed illustrations must be sent as a flattened psd or tiff file

There are only 10 slots for comics available due to page count space so if you apply for a comic space, and you are selected, you may not be picked for comics but instead illustration!
