Crocotile 3D

Crocotile 3D is a tool for creating 3d scenes with tiles. Think of it as creating 2d tilemaps with three dimensions.

Saving (over 100 tiles) and exporting is deactivated. To activate these, register a keycode at Crocotile3D.com or purchase an activation key below.

v.2.6.9 (April 19, 2026)

• Added: "Import Triangle Pairing" option in Edit > Settings > Scene. Enabled by default, this option will attempt to pair triangles into proper quad shaped tiles when importing models. If disabled, it will import degenerate tiles (one tile per triangle with half of the tile collapsed).
• Improved: Importing models should set transparency/double-sided/wrapping properties and others accordingly for any tilesets included.

v.2.6.8 (March 27, 2026)

• Added: "Snap to angle" Billboard setting in an Object's properties panel. This will snap the billboard effect to the specified angle increments.
• Improved: File > "Import Model", now allows selecting multiple files. Will create multiple undo/redo states as well though (will need to improve that at some point). 
• Fixed: Light positions did not scale when exporting with a scale value. Some light properties such as Distance, will be scaled as well.
• Fixed: When parenting an instance to the scene, undoing it would cause an error.

(NOTE: Recently there has been issues with gmail emails (a couple so far, not all of them) bouncing back reporting that the gmail email doesn't exist (even though they do)! This might result with activation confirmation codes failing to send to your gmail. I've tried emailing these gmail accounts from different hosts, but receive same bounce back. So it must be a gmail issue. Hopefully gmail will resolve it soon? So if you run into issues, check that you are able to receive emails.)

Trouble-shooting: If you have issues running the program, here are some trouble-shooting information. One example with Mac, is the possibility that it is quarantining the app, preventing it from functioning as intended despite starting. Another example might be a VPN or something like that preventing initial activation.
