from my guide:

Not every option gives you an item, but some end up being very silly or interesting scenes that i warmly recommend checking out before actually collecting the item from the right guy (or load a save later), they are:

• dragon tears: Máng apparently has… no more tears to shed, the only other candidate is Hakan, but he apparently can’t cry either… despite our wolf playing foul, Witer has the perfect plan to get us some of those tears from him
• lizard saliva: for this, you can defeat any lizard rogue and forcibly take their saliva, or, if the lizard village still exists, buy some from the shopkeeper for 50 coins or ask Nauxus (i HIGHLY recommend that if you are dating him in your route, because phew…~)
• demon’s toenail: the demon guards at the entrance of the demon city have a very funny dialogue, but only the boss (the cerberus) will let you have one… in exchange for certain services~, you can even offer them again, if pleasing pleases you~ (but lewd choices will only amuse him and have you tease you, no further fun for now, paw lovers)

When you have everything, return to either Meko or Selye and let him craft the antispell rune (they both say they need one day, but going back at midnight is enough, not 24 hours).

the dungeon is designed around always having free soup refills and the bonfire kit buffs thanks to einar, and brewing the noxious bomb by having at least 7 AGI in the northwest room on the second floor to skip the first fight. there are many potions next to the kitchen on the main floor as well, if you haven't used them all already. 

most just unlock naturally as you progress, the only ones you (kinda) need to unlock being the honey cake requiring you to get the honey from Snow once the war arc is over and also visiting the boss in the demon city again to get coffee beans in his mini quest

ok, i tested the dungeon and figured out that watching asmund's scene (in the stop next to the bonfire) and then picking up his whistle in his room BUT finishing the dungeon without going down in the prison to blow the whistle will disable it forever.

it is a pretty specific sequence of actions, because not picking up the whistle at all will still allow you to do so after you finish the dungeon and go back in to explore more, and the event will work as intended. this also means you had at least 7 AGI to collect the jester badge in the top left section early.

i will report the bug on the discord, for now, you need to reload a save prior to defeating king harald (or restart the game)

then you haven't gone back to the prison and checked properly... (if the fight down there does not start, visit asmund's room in the east wing of the main floor). that will get you the knight badge and also drop a key for a door in the west wing, which has one for the last locked door in the east wing, then the rest should all be explorable in the west wing for the prince badge.

just use fire bombs on slimes in act 2 so they transform

this is intended for that character. again, if you could please consider reporting them in the appropriate channel

i'm seeing 300 by testing in 0.38, it must have been lowered at some point (maybe based on some variable), i'll point it out tomorrow. if you happen to see more, consider reporting them on our dedicated channel on discord, as doing so over here can get messy and covers new threads.

a little known typo

The dungeon is balanced around getting all the help Einar can give, including the noxious brew from the northwest room on the second floor if you have at least 7 AGI, that skips the annoying kobolds, so you can keep resources and the HP and MP bonuses from the bonfire kit (again, thanks to Einar for having infinite kits) to have an edge for the postulant and the sinner phases.

I am assuming you are playing 0.37, so no new skills, but that's fine, my guide was written before those, and i developed a strategy around stalling with defend+nightstar sachet and exploiting their holy weakness, here:

postulant boss fight: the “true” boss’ first phase has 800 HP and both good defense and attack power on all 3 moves, especially his defense-piercing one, with a bit of a weakness for the holy element (so holy fist) that players with low ATK can exploit to some extent; he is another reason i recommended the nightstar sachet, as it still somewhat possible to stall and heal, get a holy fist in every now and then, and heal to full HP and MP before dealing the final hit, keeping as many potions and soup as possible for the second phase, otherwise, it’s a straightforward battle where you attack and heal alternatively, or either defend to chance some stalling/normal attack if a skill is on cooldown and your HP and MP are high

sinner boss fight: he effectively is the postulant, but with higher stats overall and 1000 HP, which means THIS is where you gotta go all in with your main way to deal damage and use your bind up and all the potions and soup you managed to save up! While it is true that 2 out of his 3 moves are still guardable, his piercing one is so strong that stalling with the sachet is a bit too risky, so just deal and heal damage fast! (although one can always chance a guard when he needs to stall urgently)

If you don't have the sachet (you buy it from Chet and upgrade it by praying at the statue), i guess you'll have to rely on your items more and luck when defending to stall for holy fist or bind up, wolf stance might allow for a few more lucky dodges if you are not attacking physically.

In 0.38, one skill inflicts armor break and can be good for strong physical builds (albeit risky), while another lets you stall to recharge MP, but it leaves you open for a turn and has a 6 turns cooldown, works better with high MP builds.

If all else fails, save scumming is always an option: save in a quick save slot, play your turn, if you don't dodge, quick load and try again

The postulant and sinner had higher DEF and MDEF in early builds, while the kobold could spam his net every turn, Caro really goes hardcore sometimes lol.

idk what materials you are talking about...  i can only think of the 3 items for the ritual, but you have the eye already... i guess the flower on the second floor has an equip behind it?

check the telescope room on the second floor, the constellations are the answer

well... most chars that have top scenes can potentially have bottom scenes in the future and viceversa, hakan is clearly a dom, but even he has a sweet side and could very well let MC lead at some point.

thane has a repeatable scene after the war (in the "good ending" route) , it is a dialogue option, and then he also has a scene for the bathhouse, i wouldn't say you full on dom him, but it... should be good enough?

oh, i'd say axel wants to stay on top more, even if he kinda has his bottom moments as well, in a way, along with a couple of NPCs in quests later on... this game has a bit for everyone, so i'd say to just try to unlock them all, worst case you can skip the dialogue fast. (also good to see a tyrandaddy enjoyer~)

you can load a save before this to prep better, do certain tasks around to remove waves of guards from the exit or simply escape through the waterway south by turning the valves in the room next to it (you can use your lockpick if you can't find the key), there is an optional boss down there, but you can easily skip him. if you need details on every stop and route in the dungeon, my guide explains it well, but you can also ask here if needed.

because renpy keeps copies of your saves in your hidden appdata folder. go into any  folder, click on "view" and check the option to show hidden folders; now, your saves are gonna be in your "user" folder (whatever you called your pc): user -> AppData -> Roaming -> RenPy -> Tvern_of_Spear-1, delete everything, sync folder included (or just move them somewhere else, just your persistent save for the gallery, whatever, your call)

well, try downloading the game on your desktop and see if it automatically finds and shows your saves when you try to load (so no itch launcher), if it does, your saves should be safe... and you can probably just play like that, versions don't have to be kept for saves to transfer over, so it's not like you'll have dozens of gigabytes eaten by ToS.

after that, if you reaaally want to use the itch launcher, you can overwrite your saves and delete the build over there to see if a reinstall fixes it, but that's for later, try what i said above.

renpy should have another folder named like the game inside, the saves have the page number and position that indicate where they are on the load save screen, something like "24-6-LT1.save", at least on windows...

still, chances are renpy is smart enough to have saves somewhere even if you delete your current build and download another one

also, if you are on the itch launcher, doesn't the game prompt you to run it or open the saves folder whenever you wanna play?

i don't use mac or itch to update this game, you can always use the links on the itch page or the update channel in the discord if you are a patron. for the saves, windows usually saves in game -> saves, but both windows and mac also keep copies in a hidden folder... should be a "library" folder for you, but you need to tell your mac to show hidden folders first, then they are in library -> renpy -> tavern of spear (or a similar name)

try deleting everything (but keep your saves somewhere else just in case, even if it shouldn't even be necessary) and donwload the latest version, make sure it is the mac one

just... open it in a browser, i use google chrome, but they should all work.

the cloud function in preferences is made for that, save files are fine, but renpy limitations deem the persistent.sav too big and will omit it in the transfer (it contains the gallery data)... send it to a dropbox, SD card, or on your Discord, so you can paste it on your pc to overwrite the new persistent.sav that generates once you launch the gayme (or, well, you can re-unlock the gallery yourself fast if you have saves in various parts of the gayme, or use the cheat code if you are a $5 patron, but that unlocks everything)

I do mean the Discord, just ask there for quicker help lol, it's pretty much only me checking replies on here. And yes, Einar is 100% getting more because the snow mountain arc is not even finished yet. As i said, images on my guide look fine on pc, so use your pc or ask me on Discord... worst case, i have the original files i can send as well.

you have 100 corruption almost surely because you have murphy's hand equipped and abused it too much... the bull temple pool is the only way to cleanse it in act I, but you can't get there without a game over now, you need to load a save where you don't have 100 COR and continue from there.

you overused murphy's hand so you hit 100 COR... the dungeons, cooking and a couple of other things would help, but, since you can't leave, you need to load an older save and take the hand off so your COR does not get to 100

...you can repeat the sex scene if you ask, you can't stay to actually sleep and such

what do you mean he offers fun but not sleep... you had sex or not? i can't check anything if you do not send any save here or over on the discord server, it all works here, tree defeated, drank with him, 3 days, hangover, 1 day and then he offers to have sex

i just restarted the game and got there... tried both with the goo armor and without, won, gave the flower to snow, went to hakan to celebrate, slept 3 days, talked to him, waited another day for the hangover, talked to him again and he offered to have fun, see if it all checks out... otherwise send the save file and i will check tomorrow

caro might find out the cause more easily if we got more details, have you downloaded the right version? have you extracted the .rar? what happens when you try to run the game?

you defeated the tree boss? what does he say?

after the war ends? they are only in the cave dungeon as ghosts

stats can go over 10 as well and are natural numbers, % comes into play with item drops and... that’s it, as a few of the many stat checks also compare actual numbers, despite them using a d100 die

apparently, it has one week timer, i just asked to confirm

that is... an 8, not 80...

check that it is 0.36, that you used parley beforehand and that you really are at 80 COR or above, it starts after the usual scene

i don't play android, but i'd assume the renpy cloud is in the same place and you just need to follow what it tells you, join the discord server if you wanna ask someone who knows more. just know the gallery can't be transferred due to renpy limitations with the persistent save file size

at the new campsite (unlocked once you return from the mountains on some of the routes, idk if you have it), chet has a series of quests, those two are for his "marketing" one: one scene is for doing all 3 requirements he sets for you, the other is for doing 2 but losing the battle itself (so save before the quest to see both)
