What the Community says

  • "Already an Amiga classic!" (AmigaBill)
  • "Massive attack incoming. 100% Adrenaline !" (MrThairacer, YouTube)
  • "You master the Amiga hardware. Amazing!" (fondriesete, on YouTube)

Famous last words

  • You will receive a .zip-archive with the game, instructions and some bonus content. You can copy this archive to any Amiga compatible device, e.g. SD-card.
  • I recommend to play the game on original A1200, A4000 or CD32 hardware
  • The game plays great on MISTer, FS UAE, Win UAE and most common Amiga-emulators. On non-original hardware, you might experience minor deficiencies. MISTer, for example, feels almost identical to original hardware, but displays a hires logo in the title screen in low resolution.
  • If you want to play on A500 Mini: The installation process is exactly like with any other Amiga-game. In case of any challenges, please email me directly for step-by-step instructions.

Thank you for your feedback. One of our main objectives when we decided to create the game was max gameplay flow. Playing CD-audio would mean we'd need to compromise on ingame flow and longer loading pauses due to slow laser head mechanics, especially on older CD32-systems. We instead opted to delegate 350 KB of chipmem exclusively to Paula, so we get the best audio performance on CD32 and generally all AGA-platforms.

And the version with the ingame music will definitely work with Amiga Forever 11?

Has this ever been on sale? 50 AUD is more expensive than any shmup I have ever bought on Steam, Xbox or PSN.

(1 edit)

If you think Steam or PSN-markets are comparable to Amiga, that's on you. You may or may not support development of Amiga game. You decide.

I was polite. No rom is worth $50 for any platform. I would rather get it included with and get an entire machine with the A1200 max than pay $50 for one rom. Seriously. 95% of your customers here do not own Amigas, they just want to emulate the game.

Let me rephrase. "This is the most expensive modern retro platform rom I have ever seen, EVER, in the last 20 years. Also the most expensive rom I have ever seen on Itch".

Now I am sure you will say how Amiga is special and all the other platforms with 10 to $20 roms (max) are somehow easier to code for and that's the reason.

I watched some gameplay and the SFX are way, WAY too loud anyway. Shockingly so, as to turn up the volume to enjoy the (very good) music, you'd have to blow your ears apart with the overbearing SFX. I have not seen any videos where this is adjustable, but I do hope it is.

I let others do the talking. I heard some people claim this is the best shmup on Amiga, or one of the best releases in the past 30 years.  That's no me, that's actually games players, and you can google up some of those comments. Anyone who ever actually played the game says it's totally worth the price. If you'd prefer to comment or cry about the price rather than have fun with the game, then be it.

What an awesome game. Big thanks for your works Richard

Thank you so much for your kind words!

please before i buy is it eazy to play on amiga 500 mini ? I don’t find an answer …

It's as easy to setup as any other Amiga game. Note please that you will experience some sound hickups though, as the emulation is not strong enough for RP3.

Is the download an ADF file? I have an Amiga 1200 with an A1200 2mb ram board in the trap door.

No. It's a .zip-archive, that you can download and install on any device readable with your Amiga or Amiga-emulation.

In a patch update could you add a key to exit the game back to workbench. The only way to quit the game seems to be to reboot. Apart from this very minor issue its a fantastic game.

Thank you so much for your kind words. The game is prepared to handle exit to WB. I decided to disable that function as to avoid potential issues with some exotic WB setups. You could always use the WHD-client to add that functionality.

I really enjoy this great game, bought the CD. I was unsure if that would work on a Pi with Pimiga, bit it does.

I have yet to pass the 1st stage, where are the cheats haha, j/k :-)

My suggestion:

I see a lot of questions and people are unsure how to play it, and I guess some don't buy it because being unsure.

What I think would help would be to include some short blurbs about "how to run it with Amiberry", "how to install it on a Pi", "how to play it with the Mini", "how to do the Whdload with Pimiga".

From my point of view many, or not all, Amiga returners are that deep into the "technical" stuff and I guess a short "how to" with several options would help to spread the passion / sales.

But those are just my thoughts 🤗

Great game, loving it! Especially the SoundFX rock!

Yes thats why I havent bought it yet for the A500mini a guid whould be helpfull.

Glad you enjoy the game, and thank you for your suggestion! I added some words to the game description.

Thing is: There are so many Amiga configs out there, it's simply not possible for a solo dev like me to cover them all. The game should run perfectly fine on all common Amiga-based platforms. I suggest quering relevant forums in edge cases like WHDLoad on Pimiga.

Hi, I would like to buy. It's possible to play this game on A500 mini? alternatively, it's possible to create a CD to play on real CD32?

Thank you

Franz

I bought the SIGNATURE EDITION of this game on the Amiga 38 event in October 2023 (CDs + USB), and since then I have been trying to play it on THEA500 Mini, but with no sucess. Since I have no real Amiga, I can only play it on WinUAE. And what an amazing game this is. Here, and also in the amigashop, it is written that this game is compatible with the A500 Mini. Can someone explain me how can I generate the .lha file that contains the game itself and that runs on the A500 Mini? I guess I need to combine the game CD with the file here https://www.whdload.de/games/Re-Ri.html, but I don't know how to do it, and the Internet does not help me at all. Thanks in advance for any help anybody can provide to me.

The game should run on A500 Mini. This is the way that Martin, who created the music, does play it. Please email me directly, I can then forward you some install instructions.

Thanks for your reply and availability. itch.io does not seem to publish your email address. I did find a Contact Form and  email address to contact Richard Loewenstein... Should I use those?!

Sounds good to me!

Hi , did you manage to get it running on the A500mini ?

Hi , did you manage to get it running on the A500mini ?

will this version work with the WHDload Installer?

Yet, it does. There's a WHD-Load-Client out there.

Congratulations, a beautiful game for the AGA machines, I hope to continue producing perhaps a dedicated Vampire V4 Apollo next time

Thank you very much for your kind words. A dedicated version for Vampire-driven systems is not planned because I do not own such a system and prefer to work on original hardware.

Amazing looking game.

Zip seems to be full of .DS_Store folders. I doubt the Amiga needs those. Are they safe to delete?

Thank you for your kind comment! Yes, you can safely delete all .DS... files contained within the archive.
