Alt. Creators can be anything from cosplayers, to songwriters, singers and musicians, to chefs or handicrafters, to theorists and essayists, or anything in-between!
Alt creators will be expected to provide a high quality, finished product to be featured in the zine. This could look like, but is not limited to, the following examples:
- A single or double page spread high quality cosplay photoshoot, with care put into costuming, hair, makeup, and background composition.
- Fine-art photography
- An original musical score / sheet music / tablature.
- An audio file of an original song or cover.
- A high quality photograph of a physical craft item (ie crochet, clay, embroidery, cross-stitch, etc).
- A pattern for a physical craft item (ie. crochet, embroidery, cross-stitch, etc).
- A completed and tested recipe.
Alt Creator Applications should include 3-5 samples of the artform you intend to submit. Please showcase the best of your work.
- Application pieces should be complete pieces, not WIPs.
- Please, no NSFW samples.
- Alt. Creators are not required to have a Genshin Impact sample in their application.
- A portfolio is strongly encouraged but not required.
- Samples must be accessible to the mod team. All links should be active, valid links with viewing permissions shared. Any applications with broken or unviewable links will be disqualified.
- Any applications containing generative AI will be disqualified.
If you have multiple alternate artforms you wish to apply for, please submit multiple Alt. Creator applications, with one artform per app.
