for the sake of an experiment I tried BandiZip as well, however got the same result (as well as in 7-zip, Total Commander). The same result on Linux.
There is a problem with RU manual filename, which is shown and the extracted as:
Bloodstone �㪮����⢮ �� ���� RU.pdf
It would be nice if someone could fix some of the old bugs and 1 new one :). The new bug is that the big green guys is always dying on mines. It is not like that in the original game.Here is the video demonstrating the bugs:
If someone showed me this in 90's I would not believe it was made for Spectrum.
