hi there! I'm interested in applying as a writer for the zine and I have a question: in the guidelines it is mentioned that the word limit for every sample is 1.5k. is there any leeway for the word count? as in, would it be fine if I submit a piece that is, say, 1.6k words? or is 1.5k the strict limit?

Will this zine be shipped internationally, or only to the US? I saw there was a US shipping mod, and I was wondering about this. And if so (international shipping), I know it's too early to ask, but I'm still wondering if the shipping fees will be affordable for those outside the US. Thanks! I'm excited for this project!

I know this is still quite early on in the process, but I'm EXTREMELY excited to get my hands on this zine once it's out! However, I couldn't help but notice that the shipping mod doesn't have any experience listed in the zine's carrd. Have they worked on other projects before?

Hello! Caution is understandable! While Ten doesn't have previous experience in zine shipping, they have had an online art shop before. We also have apps for a shipping mod currently open to share or possibly fully take over shipping duties!

Hi there! it seems that the number of writers accepted is only 4 but there are 3 chapters for the zine. Does this mean there will be 2 writers for one of the chapters while the other two chapters are one fic each? Also, are there any plans to increase the number of merch artists considering the high volume of interest in the zine project?

Per last week's changes, we are looking for 7 writers now! The current plan is 2 each for the Sol and 40 Eridani chapters and 3 for the Tau Ceti chapter, although this might change as the project progresses.
For merch artists, we may consider taking more if interest calls for it, yes!
Hi! I filled out an application for a merch artist a few days ago and just now realized that i accidentally included the wrong link for my portfolio (I used my regular portfolio website instead of the google drive I created). I know that applications can't be edited but is there any way I could apply again under a different email or something? Apologizes for the hassle!
You can email us the correct link and specify which email address you used in the application. We'll fix it for you!
Sorry if this has already been asked! I know animations obvi wont be included in the zine, but are we still allowed to submit animations in the page artist application?
Please feel free to submit animations as an additional sample! Main samples should still be illustrations as they'll show what kind of piece you can make for a zine. Thank you!
hi, sorry if this is a silly question, but I saw that your apps might be extending and was wondering if that's still the case? I'm planning to apply, but i haven't had a portfolio before and kind of have to rush to format my art 😅 I was just wondering (last minute of course, I'm so sorry) if I have time to actually polish up my portfolio before submitting or if I should go ahead and do that ASAP. Hello! I realised I made a mistake when submitting my application, specifically I didn't send in enough art examples with a rendered background -- would my app still be considered if I just add them to the Google drive I linked?
Hello! Portfolio folders can be edited at any time up until Applications close. Feel free to add, remove, or swap any piece — as long as you are within the minimum (3) and maximum (8) amounts and your files are properly renamed upon deadline, your application will be considered!
