MEL (Marine Eco-Label Japan) is a Japanese original certification scheme covering Fisheries, Aquaculture and Chain of Custody (CoC).
MEL (Marine Eco-Label Japan) Council was established in December 2016 as a scheme owner formulating to improve the MEL scheme in accordance with international standard.
MEL aims to promote the sustainable development of fishing industries and seafood culture.
