Björn Victor

I'm a research assistant at the Department of Information Technology, Computer Systems (DoCS), at Uppsala University.
My research in formal methods involves calculi for mobile processes. In my research I have developed and explored a process calculus called the Fusion Calculus, which is a unifying framework for concurrent actions with "global" and "local" effects, where the pi-calculus appears as a subcalculus. I am also the principal author of the Mobility Workbench, the first automated analysis tool for the pi-calculus. Together with Uwe Nestmann I maintain the Bibliography on Calculi for Mobile Processes. Uwe and I are also guest editors of a special issue of JLAP (Journal of Logic and Algebraic Programming) on the pi-calculus. With Luca Aceto I am a guest editor of a special issue of MSCS (Mathematical Structures in Computer Science) devoted to ``the Difference between Concurrent and Sequential Computation''.

I have three Ph.D. students: Kidane Yemane, Magnus Johansson and Karl Marklund.

I have a list of selected papers and a brief CV available.

I am teaching computer networks for engineering physics students this fall.

I administer library matters at the department. Have a look at our technical report series! I am also a member of the department board.
