Hidehiko Masuhara is an Associate Professor at Department of Graphics and Computer Science, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo, where he is leading the PPP research group. He joined the faculty in 1995. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Department of Information Science, University of Tokyo in 1992, 1994, and 1999, respectively. He was awarded the best paper award in 1996 for the Journal of Information Processing Society of Japan. He has been a Visiting Professor at Department of Computer Science, University of British Columbia, Canada, from 2001 to 2002. See also his page there for more information.

His research interest is programming languages, especially on aspect-orientd programming, partial evaluation, computational reflection and meta-level architectures, and parallel/concurrent computing. He is currently working on an efficient implementation of object-oriented concurrent reflective languages by using partial evaluation, and run-time specialization techniques. He is jointly working with the members of the Prof. Yonezawa's Research Group at the Department of Information Science, the University of Tokyo.
