I am a computer scientist in the
Scientific Data Management Research Group
of the
High Performance Computing Research Department
of the
Computational Research Division
(formerly part of
NERSC Division )
at
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
in Berkeley, California.
Currently my efforts are divided between graph data management (see below)
(primarily for biology) and a new project on metadata registries.
My research interests include:
database management,
graph data management and graph algorithms,
bioinformatics, computational biology,
metadata and XML standards development,
knowledge representation,
power systems informatics and computation.
I am also a metric zealot (favor metrication - hard metric conversion). (see below)
