FASST: a fast algorithm for approximate string matching
It aims at a fast query on DNA sequences database.

SOAR: system for orthologous assignment by reversals
Assign orthology based on the most parsimonious rearrangement scenario between two genomes.

JPOP: joint prediction of operons
Predict operons by joint learning from multiple types of data, e.g., intergenic distance, COG functional category, and phylogentic profile data.

GenCompress/GenDistance
GenCompress is an efficient compression algorithm for DNA sequences, while GenDistance can return a distance matrix representing pair-wise similarities of sequences of interest.

DNACompress
DNACompress is a fast and efficient compression algorithm for DNA sequences. It is now distributed through Bioinformatics Solutions, Inc.

SID: plagiarism detection tool
SID stands for Shared Information Distance or Software Integrity Detection. It detects similarity between programs by computing the shared information between them.

LLIC: lossy and lossless compression for color-quantized images
It is an very efficient compression algorithm for color-quantized images.

ECheck: a compression algorithm for check images
It is very promising for digital check archives due to high compression performance.
