Important Dates:
- deadline for submission: Oct 15th 2002
- publication date: April 2003

The review process will be rigorous. To submit to this special issue it is NOT necessary to have a paper accepted at the IEEE/ACM HW/SW Co-Design Symposium (Codes). Rather, all authors sending original and unpublished work are invited to submit papers that fit in one or more of the following categories:
    • Computer-aided Codesign Techniques: specification and modeling, synthesis,
      partitioning, estimation, platform-based design, design space exploration,
      co-simulation, test strategies;
    • Software for Codesign: code generation, software development environments,
      RTOS, process scheduling, system integration, communication protocols;
      and
    • Codesign Architectures: hardware/software interfaces, distributed and multiprocessor
      architectures, reconfigurable architectures.
