My Ph.D advisor was Professor Anthony Acampora.
Dr.
Krishnamurthy’s research is in the areas of wireless systems and
networks, Internet technology, broadband networks, multimedia systems,
satellite systems and networks, lightwave networks, queuing theory and
stochastic processes, algorithm design and analysis, network security and active
networks.

Study of medium access control (MAC) protocols in wireless ad hoc
networks in which nodes have heterogeneous transmit powers: study shows the
inadequacy of traditional MAC protocols

Design of routing protocols for mobile ad hoc
networks in which unidirectional links exist
·
A methodology for multicasting real-time
sustained traffic in wireless ad hoc networks.
·
A QoS enabled routing protocol for Low Earth
Orbit (LEO) satellite networks.
·
Design of protocols for Wireless Networks to
support the deployment of adaptive array antennas.
Dr.
Krishnamurthy was a Research Staff Member/Scientist, HRL Laboratories, LLC, in
He is also the
co-editor of a recently published book : Ad
Hoc Networks: Technologies and Protocols Springer Verlag,
Prasant Mohapatra of UC Davis).
Dr. Krishnamurthy was awarded the 2000 Technology Achievement Award from
HRL Laboratories. He has been leading or been the co-principal investigator on
various Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency-funded projects including
ones on Next Generation Internet and Small Unit Operations.
