I am a full professor of Software Engineering at the University of Groningen, Department of Computing Science. I head the Software Engineering Research Group consisting of about 12 people. In addition I supervise around six industrial PhD candidates. My main research topics are: Software Architecture: · Software architecture assessment, e.g., for modifiability, usability and variability · Modeling architecture design decisions · Design erosion Software Product Families: · Software variability management · Maturity and evaluation frameworks
Education I am responsible for the Software Engineering Track in the Master Program of Computing Science. I teach, among others, the software architecture course.
Committees I am general chair for the upcoming software architecture conference (WICSA-4) and program co-chair for the upcoming software reuse conference (ICSR-8). In addition, I am PC member of numerous conferences and workshops. In addition, I am member of the Dutch NWO open competition evaluation committee, the Dutch STW VENI evaluation committee and the Dutch EZ/NWO Jacquard Software Engineering research funding committee. Finally, I frequently work as a reviewer of EU project proposals and projects. |
