Where are we?
IAM is housed in Neubrückstrasse 10 (building 66 below). The Software Composition Group is in Schützenmattstrasse 14, the building right behind Neubrückstrasse 10 (building 68 below).
How to get to IAM by bus from the train station
- At the main station take bus 11 direction 'P+R Neufeld'
- Get out at bus stop "Henkerbrünnli" (that's the 2nd stop from the station)
- When you get out of the bus, you will see a renovated yellow brick building to your right. Cross the two streets, and voila, you are there.

How to get to IAM by foot from the train station
You may walk along Bollwerk, a busy, noisy street, pass underneath the train tracks, and continue till you hit the IAM.
Alternatively, you may take the elevator (next to track 12) up from the train station to the Grosse Schanze, a park in front of the main University building. On a clear day, there is a beautiful view of the alps and of parts of Bern. From there, walk between the main building and the Physics building ("Exakte Wissenschaften"), and along Sidlerstrasse till you find the pathway down the hill to IAM. You will easily recognize the yellow brick building.
How to get the Hotel Kreuz
If you are staying overnight at the Hotel Kreuz, it is just a few minutes from the train station. Get out of the train station by the Neuengasse exit, walk towards Waisenhausplatz, and then you will find the Hotel Kreuz at Zeughausgasse 41.
To get to the IAM from the Hotel Kreuz, just backtrack and walk along Bollwerk to the IAM.
