The pair began their squash careers together in their hometown of Colchester in Essex three decades ago - since when Walker, 33, has reached No4 in the world and 31-year-old Harris has achieved a world ranking of five. Following a year in which he reached the last eight of a PSA Tour event only once, Walker has slumped to 40 in the world - but the left-hander has now already achieved two semi-final berths in 2001. The unseeded Englishman now faces Finnish qualifier Olli Tuominen who upset eighth-seeded South African Rodney Durbach 15-11, 15-10, 15-8. It was the 21-year-old Finn who felled Walker in four in last week's Apawamis Open semi-finals in New York, en-route to claiming the title - again as a qualifier. The other semi-final in Pittsburgh will also feature English interest after 6th seed Lee Beachill, from Yorkshire, beat Finnish qualifier Mika Monto 15-5, 15-4, 15-4.
