Pronunciation and Etymology

Research

My research is concerned with programming languages. Currently I am mainly interested in separation logic, and type and effect systems. Other research interests include: continuations, parametricity, operational semantics, object-oriented patterns, program understanding and software design.

Teaching

Software System Components 1; I will be teaching the two weeks about grammars and parsing; see the page for the parsing part of SSC1.
