Summer 2006 Commencement

A commencement ceremony for all graduates, including Masters/Ph.D. candidates will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 5 at Hilton Coliseum (Iowa State Center). Individual college ceremonies and convocations are not held during the summer.

Future Commencement Ceremonies

A list of academic dates such as the first day of the term, holidays, and commencement is available by choosing Future Dates from the menu. This list includes dates that have been set through 2011.

Candidates for advanced degrees wear black tassels. Baccalaureate degree candidates wear tassels of the following colors:

Agriculture – Maize
Business – Drab
Design – Brown
Engineering – Orange
Human Sciences – Maroon
Liberal Arts and Sciences:

• Bachelor of Arts – White
• Bachelor of Liberal Studies – White
• Bachelor of Music – Pink
• Bachelor of Science – Golden Yellow

Veterinary Medicine – Gray
