Robotic Soccer

• I've been part of an effort to develop a language for the coach in Simulated Robotic Soccer to talk with the players. 
• There's a corpus of CLang (coach language) examples to help make sure that teams can interoperate.
• I have also created libscoach, a C++ library to facilitate the developement of players and coaches. The home page of the library is here.
• A later library to facilitate development of coachable players and agents is available at our simulator home page.

• I also have a code framework for developing a coach. It works for version 7.xx of the server, and would need to be updated for the new version.
  

Miscellaneous Software

• I wrote a middleware system named SPADES for creating simulations for the artificial intelligence community. It is designed to support distributed simulations that track the computation time used by agents, and still have results that do not vary signifigantly on variations of network and machine load. The project is hosted on SourceForge.

Personal

• Photo Repository: This is hosted on my housemates George Fairbank's machine, and is occasionally down.
• Volleyball. I play as much as I can, including with CS Volleyball and GSA Volleyball . I also am a head for Sacred Heart middle school volleyball.
• Ballroom dancing with the CMU Ballroom Dance Club (though I hardly ever go there anymore). I do go to the Swing City Dances at the Wightman school.

• My sister Jenny Riley has finished her Masters in Musicology and her Masters in Library Science at Indiana University. She's now working on the Digital Library Program there. ( home page ).
• My father George Riley is at Georgia Tech, where he recently finished his Ph.D. and is now faculty there in computer networking. ( home page)
• My step-mother is also working on her Ph.D. program at Georgia Tech.

• Some of you may have realized that I share my name with a somewhat famous American basketball coach. For a short while, various people on the web sent mail for him to my email address. I accidentally deleted most of it before I realized the humor value in it. Read the email
