Please note:

Every month I get about 5500 email messages. Of these, about 2200 are marked as legitimate and arrive in my mailbox, while 3300 are flagged as spam (by the excellent SpamOracle analyzer). Of the 2200, about 200 are really spam. Of the 3300, fewer than ten appear to be legitimate. (As you can imagine, I have only a limited ability to scan through all these messages and find the legitimate ones.) In this time, I send out about 1200 messages myself.

This means there is a small but non-zero chance that I will lose your message entirely, and a slightly greater chance that other important things will keep me from responding to you in a timely manner. If the matter is important to both of us, feel free to email me multiple times.
