Martijn Warnier

I am a Post-Doc at the Department of Computer Science at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I am a member of the Intelligent Interactive Distributed Systems (IIDS) group, lead by Frances Brazier.

Before joining IIDS I was a PhD student in Bart Jacob's Security of Systems (SoS) group at the Radboud University Nijmegen, my day-to-day supervisor (and copromotor) was Martijn Oostdijk.

Research

• My research is part of the Agent-based Criminal Court Electronic Support Systems (ACCESS) project together with the VU Computer Law Institute.
• My research used to be part of the Security Analysis for Multi-Applet Smart Cards (SAMASC) project.
• Dissertation: Language Based Security for Java and JML
• Research interests:
  • The interdisciplinary research field of Computer Science (specifically Computer Security) and (Computer) Law
  • Modeling security properties (anonymity, integrity) in Agent based systems, in particular AgentScape
  • Modeling security properties, such as secure information flow for programs or secrecy and authentication for security protocols
  • The specification language JML (the Java Modeling Language)
  • The Java dialect for programming smart cards: Java Card
  • Theorem proving, especially in PVS, but also in other theorem provers like Isabelle and Coq

Events

• The TAC SCM 2007 competition. The IIDS group is participating with the BonteKoe agent, and I am team captain.
