9th International Parallel Processing Symposium 2nd Reconfigurable Architectures Workshop (Sponsored by IEEE Technical Committee on Parallel Processing) SYMPOSIUM: The 9th annual International Parallel Processing Symposium (IPPS '95) will be held 25-29 April, 1995 in Santa Barbara, California. The symposium is sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society and will be held in cooperation with ACM SIGARCH. IPPS '95 is a forum for engineers and scientists from around the world to present the latest research findings in all aspects of parallel processing. WORKSHOP: The 2nd workshop on reconfigurable architectures (RAW'95) will be held in conjunction with the Symposium. For the purpose of this workshop, a reconfigurable architecture consists of processors connected by a reconfigurable network. The topology of the network outside the processors is fixed, and the internal connections between the I/O ports of each processor can be configured locally during execution of the algorithm. Numerous algorithms have since been presented in the scientific literature. They have addressed problems in computer vision, packet routing, embedding of different topologies and fault tolerance. The workshop will feature several sessions of submitted paper presentations. Proceedings will be available at the symposium and by public ftp. The tradition of an informal panel discussion, which was very fruitful in the 1994 workshop, will be repeated. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts which demonstrate original research in all areas of Reconfigurable Architectures, including implementations, algorithms and applications. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Reconfiguration Models Electronic & Optical Implementations Complexity Graphics and Animation Scalability Embedding of Fixed Topologies Problem Solving Paradigms Image Processing Algorithms(arithmetic/geometric/graph/numerical/randomised) SUBMITTING PAPERS: All papers will be reviewed.
