1995 European Intel Supercomputer Users' Group Meeting: ANNOUNCEMENT OF MEETING & CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS The European Intel Supercomputer Users' Group is pleased to invite you to participate in the 1995 annual meeting. This is a unique opportunity to benefit from the work and experiences of other Intel Supercomputers users from around Europe. This year the meeting has been scheduled to take place at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique et Systeme Aleatoires (IRISA) in Rennes, France on 6-8 September. The meeting will last for one and a half days and will include talks from users around Europe and the US plus presentations from Intel. In addition to the formal meetings there will be the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of Brittany in September with a dinner scheduled for the evening of September 7th at Le Mont St Michel. We invite User Group members to submit a short description for presenta- tions related to experiences with Intel Supercomputers, with emphasis on: - applications in high performance computing - implementation of numerical algorithms - performance evaluation tools - debugging tools - administration tools for parallel computers - application benchmarks Presentations will take one of the following forms: - 20 minute technical talk - 10 minute overview of research activities If you would like to register for attendance at the meeting, please e-mail Thierry Priol at esug-meeting@irisa.fr for more information. If you would like to present at the User Group meeting, please send an abstract to the same address. In addition to the European ISUG meeting, there will be a meeting of the Paragon(tm) Systems European Special Interest Group (ESIG), which will take place before the European ISUG meeting. The Paragon Systems ESIG is chaired by Jutta Docter of KFA-Juelich. Please contact Jutta for informa- tion at J.Docter@kfa-juelich.de. The ESIG meeting will be followed by a demo session where users could present their research works. A Paragon XP/S system with 56 nodes will be available for the demo. The results of the election of the new European ISUG chairman will be given during an official dinner that will take place September 7 at Le Mont Saint Michel. The pre-requisite for attendance at any of the above meetings is membership of the European Intel Supercomputer Users' Group, which is free to all users who have an account on an Intel machine. New members are encouraged to subscribe by e-mailing Malcolm Hay at malcolm@ssduk.intel.com. A fee will be asked to attend the annual meeting.
