A picture is worth 1K words right ? So this is already a lot. To top
that I was born in Athens, Greece, but I am half French on my mother's
side. I went to undergrad at NTUA, got my
degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a Thesis in Complexity
Theory under S.Zachos, and came to the University of Maryland to pursue a
Ph.D.

Research
I am doing research in the area of compilers for parallel architectures,
and specifically for XMT.
I am co-advised by Dr. Rajeev Barua
and Dr. Uzi Vishkin.
So far I have implemented a basic but stable compiler for the XMTC
language, a small extension of C for XMT. This compiler was used with big
success in the class of
Parallel Algorithms taught at the University of Maryland in Spring '07.
I am now working with G. Caragea
to add language and target specific optimizations and functionality.
