Welcome at my personal website here at the University of Twente, The Netherlands.
On this website, I present some information on my research interests and the projects I am involved in. There is also a page with a complete list of my publications, many of which can be downloaded from there. Finally, I provide some information on my teaching duties.
I currently work at the Information Systems group of the University of Twente. This group, which is headed by prof. Roel Wieringa, is one of the chairs in the Computer Science department of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS).
The University of Twente is one of the three technical universities of The Netherlands. It is located between the cities of Enschede and Hengelo in a part of the country called Twente. Apart from the Faculty of EEMCS, there are four other faculties and five research institutes.
Pascal's formal bio:
Pascal van Eck (1971) received his diploma in Computer Science (MSc degree) from the Free University of Amsterdam in April, 1995. From May, 1995 until January 2000, he worked as a research assistant at the Artificial Intelligence Department of the Free University on a PhD thesis on a formal, compositional semantic structure for the dynamics of multi-agent systems. Starting February, 2000, he works at the Information Systems Group of the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Twente, as an assistant professor. His research interests include alignment of business and ICT architectures at the enterprise level, with a focus on case studies in the Dutch financial services industry and large-scale transaction processing, as well as cross-organizational integration of enterprise applications.
