The FOAL Workshops
The FOAL workshops on Foundations of Aspect-Oriented Languages have been held annually since 2002. The workshops have been held in conjunction with the International Conferences on Aspect-Oriented Software Development
The workshop aims to foster work in foundations, including formal studies, promote the exchange of ideas, and encourage workers in the semantics and formal methods communities to do research in the area of aspect-oriented programming languages.

The FOAL 2008 call for papers has been ammended. Only abstracts are due on the original due date of 11 January 2008 (at 23:00 GMT), with full papers due on 18 January 2008 (also at 23:00 GMT)

There will be a FOAL 2008 associated with AOSD 2008 in Brussels Belgium on April 1, 2008. So, if you are interested in FOAL, please consider submitting a paper. See the call for papers.

The 2007 workshop was held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Sheraton Wall Center in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was attended by about 23 people in the morning and 24 in the afternoon. This year we had 11 papers submitted, and accepted 8 papers; thanks again to Shmuel Katz and the rest of the program committee for selecting an excellent crop of papers.
