I just moved from University of Tokyo to National Institute of Informatics on April 1, 2008. In 2008, I am still a member of Information Processing Laboratory , teaching and supervising students in Department of Mathematical Informatics of University of Tokyo.

Research

My main interest is in programming languages and systems in general, and functional programming and program transformation in particular. I am very interested in program calculation based on programming algebras, and I am looking into how to apply this theory to automatic program optimization, systematic parallelization of sequential programs, and efficient manipulation of structured documents.
