Biography
David DeWitt is the John P. Morgridge Professor of Computer Sciences
at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Professor DeWitt received a B.A. degree from Colgate University in 1970
and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1976.
Professor DeWitt is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
He was named a Fellow of the ACM in 1995. He received the
ACM SIGMOD Innovations Award for his contributions to the database systems field
in 1995. He has published over 100 technical papers.
