My name is John Clifton Woolley, Jr., and I am an alumnus of Washington and Lee University, which is a small liberal arts college in Lexington, VA. I graduated in 1999 with a B.A. in Computer Science and Theatre. I completed my Master of Computer Science (M.C.S.) degree in computer graphics in August 2003 at the University of Virginia. After I graduated from Washington and Lee, I worked for just over a year at University Computing as the Central Systems Software Administrator. In years prior, I served in various management roles for University Computing's HelpDesk. I also served as a technology assistant to the Journalism Department and at our campus radio station, WLUR-FM 91.5MHz, as the Chief Operator and Chief Engineer. While in the graduate program at U.Va., I studied interactive 3D graphics under Dave Luebke. My research work focused on interactive 3D rendering techniques, sparse sample reconstruction, and programmable graphics hardware. These days, I'm the one-man-show IT guy at The Covenant School, which is a private PreK-12 Christian school in Charlottesville. |
