Research Interests
My primary research interests are in the design and analysis of algorithms for combinatorialoptimization and in complexity theory. My recent research has been on:
- approximation,
- constraint satisfaction problems/ structure in approximation classes,
- databases,
- network design and routing, and
- scheduling.
My research has been supported by
National Science Foundation,
an
Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship,
a
Guggenheim Fellowship,
and an
IBM Faculty Award.
Professional Activities
I have served on the program committees of SODA 2007, APPROX 2004 (Program Chair),STOC 2003, APPROX 2002, SODA 2002, STOC 2000, APPROX 2000, SWAT 1998.
I am an Associate Editor for ACM TALG, Algorithmica, and JCSS.
I am also an editor for Encyclopaedia of Algorithms.
