I spent half the 2000s working on a PhD at UNSW studying how to implement runtime extension of statically typed and compiled functional languages, I now work for Galois, in the US, where I spend my days doing Haskell programming, and my nights hacking on open source and obsessively reading about politics. I'm helping write a book about Haskell.
