A special rate of S$155 per night (excluding taxes but inclusive of daily breakfast) is applicable to attendees of APLAS 2007 at Rendezvous Hotel Singapore. The hotel is located in city center. A free daily shuttle bus will be provided between this hotel and the conference site (at NUS) during the conference period.

Those who also require a room on 27Nov and/or 2Dec are advised to book early.

Foreign attendees of APLAS2007 would need a "business visa" (which is also called an "entry pass for social visit") to come into Singapore. For citizens of most countries, this can be obtained on-the-spot at the Singapore Changi Airport.

But for citizens of some countries, this visa should be obtained in advance. These countries are: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Commonwealth of Independent States, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Myanmar, People's Republic of China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Yemen.

Please contact Ms Ho Siew Foong (email: comp.nus.edu.sg with hosf) if you need a letter of invitation to apply for the visa.

Please do NOT apply for the "professional visit pass", as it is not required for speakers and attendees of scientific meetings.
