I have graduated and have spent the last few years having fun
building the current generation of Google's crawl system.
Before Google, I spent four years
working at Yahoo!. For most of that time, I worked in
Yahoo!'s e-commerce group building
a neat high-performance programmable proxy system used to integrate
brand-name merchants into Yahoo! Shopping. Shortly before I left Yahoo!
I also built the prototype of Yahoo!'s product search.
As you might be able to guess, my professional interests include
large scale distributed systems and electronic commerce. I also
used to dabble in operating systems and mobile computing, but I have
not done much in either area recently.
If you're curious, you may take a look at my rather out-of-date résumé as
HTML,
PDF,
Postscript, or
ascii text.
