Verona Valerio Catullo airport is the closest airport to Verona. A regular bus service and taxis link the terminal building with Verona Porta Nuova railway station. Buses are much cheaper than taxis. For bus time table information see the airport website.

Alternatively, you can land in Venice Marco Polo airport. A regular bus service and taxis link its terminal building to Venezia Mestre railway station (half an hour). From there it is possible to reach Verona railway station by train in one hour and a half. Train timetable information is available.

However, the main international hubs near Verona are Milan Malpensa and Linate airports. A regular bus service and taxis link the terminal building to Milano Centrale railway station in one hour. Buses are much cheaper than taxis. From there it is possible to reach Verona railway station in one hour and a half. Train timetable information is available.

Cheap flights can sometimes be booked for Brescia Gabriele D'Annunzio airport. Also Treviso San Giuseppe airport is such an option, see Ryan Air site for more information and booking. From those airports, a bus service synchronised with the flight arrivals takes you to Verona and to Mestre railway station, respectively, both in one hour. From Mestre you still need to take a train that takes you to Verona in one hour and a half, according to the train timetable.
