I was a graduate student at Iowa State University in Computer Science.
I was working with Dr. Gary Leavens on Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
I finished my course work at ISU in 1995 and went to work for Hewlett-Packard Company in Boise, Idaho working on Color Laserjet printers. I have worked at HP for 12 years specializing in OOAD techniques in Laserjet firmware.
I live in Siloam Springs, Arkansas with my wife and 2 children, and I telecommute to HP Boise. With 7 years of telecommuting experience, it seemed reasonable that I could also finish my Master's work at ISU remotely. It was not easy to find time for work, life, and school, however.
On April 6, 2007 with the immeasurable assistance of Dr. Gary Leavens, I passed my final oral examination, and I have officially finished my Master of Science program at Iowa State University. I'd like to express my sincere thanks to my Program of Study Committee: Dr. Gary Leavens, Dr. Doug Jacobson, and Dr. Les Miller. I'd also like to thank Linda Dutton for all the assistance she's given me over the past few years; without her help, it would have been much more difficult to finish remotely.
The results of my master's work can be found here.
