dbtcp - Miscellaneous command-line DBTCP utils

DBTCP is a proxy server for ODBC connections, which allows you to make a connection from a
UNIX machine to a Windows ODBC source, among other things. You can connect via standard
command-line utils (provided in this package), a Perl DBD module (in the libdbd-dbftp-perl
package), or via PHP bindings (in the php4-dbtcp package).

This package does not provide the binary-only Windows server. The server is available from
http://www.fastflow.it/dbtcp.

php4-dbtcp - PHP bindings for DBTCP

libpam-devperm - PAM module to change device ownership on login

This PAM module allows you to change device ownership and permissions when
a user logs in.

This is functionally equivalent with SunOS logindevperm(4).

httpush - Proxy for HTTP(S) application/server security audits

HTTPush aims at providing an easy way to audit HTTP and HTTPS application/server security. It supports
on-the-fly request modification, automated decission making and vulnerability detection through the use of
plugins and full reporting capabilities.

riece - redesign of the Liece IRC client for Emacs

Today it's at very early development stage, it lacks many features of Liece. But instead, Riece has some remarkable improvements on Liece:

  * Can connect to multiple servers per session.
  * Provides more sophisticated API (sorry that it's not well documented)
  * The code size is compact.
  * Provides extensive add-on mechanism.
  * 100% APEL free ;-)

bashのminialとstaticになったやつもpackage化されました。

これで、ちいさなシステムを作るときに便利だし、libcがアレな状態でも動くし、よろこばしげ。

あと、ruby1.8もはいってたなあ。

mas-server - Media Application Server daemon

MAS (Media Application Server) is a set of packages that provide a network and platform transparent
mechanism for delivering media (currently, just audio) from an application to a sound device. The
architecture is very similar to X, and can be closely integrated with X.

This package contains the MAS server, which runs as a daemon and allows connections from MAS-enabled
applications, providing access to the audio device on the local machine.

This package should be installed if you intend to use MAS to handle audio on the local machine. Note that
there are currently very few applications that use MAS, and running a MAS server is incompatible with
running another sound server such as aRts or ESD.

ipe - drawing editor for creating figures in PDF or PS formats

Ipe supports making small figures for inclusion into LaTeX documents as well as making multi-page PDF
presentations Ipe's main features are:
  * Entry of text as LaTeX source code. This makes it easy to enter
      mathematical expressions, and to reuse the LaTeX-macros of the main
      document. In the display text is displayed as it will appear in
      the figure.
  * Produces pure Postscript/PDF, including the text. Ipe converts the
      LaTeX-source to PDF or Postscript when the file is saved.
  * It is easy to align objects with respect to each other (for
      instance, to place a point on the intersection of two lines, or to
      draw a circle through three given points) using various snapping
      modes.
  * Users can provide ipelets (Ipe plug-ins) to add functionality to
      Ipe. This way, Ipe can be extended for each task at hand.
  * The text model is based on Unicode, and has been tested with Korean,
        Chinese, and Japanese.

gforge - Collaborative development tool - meta-package

GForge provides many tools to help collaboration in a development project, such as bug-tracking, task
management, mailing-lists, CVS repository, forums, support request helper, web page / FTP hosting, release
management, etc. All these services are integrated into one web site and managed via a nice web interface.

This meta-package installs a complete GForge site.

DPiS (Debian Package in Sid)

Debnest provides a build system to create debian binary packages such that original upstream sources include
debian source packages, i.e. .dsc and other files such as .orig.tar.gz and diff.gz, or .tar.gz. In
build-time, this system unpacks debian source packages by 'dpkg-source -x' and propagates policy-defined
targets of debian/rules into the unpacked sources.

This allows you to:
  * Manage your own files under debian/ such as debian/rules
      debian/control, debian/changelog and so on separately away from
      their original packages.
  * Create your own tuned packages with your own pre-defined
      DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS, CC in your debian/rules from their
      original packages without specifying any environment
      variables in each build-time.
  * Create your own tuned packages with pathces to their
      original sources as well as to debian/* files, separating
      them completely away from their original source packages.
  * Make it possible to redistribute your modified debian package
      based on another debian source package which restricts
      source-code from being distributed in modified form _only_ by
      the distribution of "patch files" with the source code for the

This KDE applet preloads the OpenOffice.org program to make it launch faster when needed and provides a
symbol in KDE's SystemTray for easy access to OpenOffice.org's applications.

Besides simply starting the applications, you can:

  - use a history of recently opened files
