I bought this to add to a birthday gift for a lady.

My plan was to buy a wine tote and have a wine bottle inside.

Not wanting glass since I mailed it, this looked perfect.

Inside I put a message that included a gift certificate for wine at a store near her. I assume she'll have to cut the bottle open because getting the message out once I rolled it is impossible.

In all, I loved the idea. Great quality, clear, could be used for any liquid, includes a screw on cap.

I purchased these for hiking, camping and kayak trips. We love to get out into the woods with wine and good food, and carrying wine bottles adds way too much weight. These bottles, when empty, weigh next to nothing, and are perfect for our needs. I'm surprised to read that people had leaking problems. We had absolutely none whatsoever, and if you use them right, there shouldn't be any problem. When these bottles arrive, you need to break the seal between the cap and the sleeve on the neck. To do so, just squeeze down on the perforated joint between the cap and the neck sleeve, and break the perforations, which allows you to unscrew the cap and leave the sleeve on the neck. Once you do that, then you just screw the cap back on like a regular screw cap, and you get a liquid-proof seal. After reading some reviews on this page, it appears some people are just sliding the entire sleeve and cap on and off, and that's not how they're meant to be used, as you cannot get a seal that way. You must break the perforation between the cap and sleeve, and then the cap screws on just like any wine screw cap (and you'll have zero leaks).

We have carried these in backpacks and laying on their sides in a kayak and never had leaks. I've even dropped one that was full of wine without breaking it, although I think that if they hit at the right angle, they might break. Overall, this is a great product that does exactly what it's meant for, and that's to get your wine around in something other than heavy glass. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, these are the best way to carry wine. I also think they might be perfect for in and around a pool area, where you don't want any glass items that might break on a hard surface. Great product, gets the job done right.

Fantastic for campus environment where glass can cause problems. I make my own wine and bottle it. This would be a 5-star review were it not for one problem which is the caps. They look nice, seal the wine and usually work fine. However, in the 4 bottles I got, one of them had a messed up cap that came off before I even put it on the bottle. I screwed it back on and it worked acceptably but the seal was broken.

The plastic will warp if you sterilize the bottle with hot water, which isn't a problem but something to remember. Overall, a fantastic product and I will be buying the set of 12 next time. Please drink responsibly.

I have a refrigerator that has a thousand design flaws (it came with the house I recently bought) — not least of which are a huge dome light in the center of the top shelf and curved / sloped corners. This means that many tall bottles of white wine WILL NOT FIT either on that top shelf nor in any of the door shelves. I can lay unopened bottles on their side, of course, but opened ones start to leak. What to do? Enter these wonderful plastic green babies, which do indeed hold a full bottle of wine, but in a shorter shape. Now I simply transfer the contents of a troublesome bottle into one of these and - voila! - no more problems! I have even stored carbonated wine in them and not seen much loss of evanescence (though the wine still needs to be consumed within 2-3 days or it will probably be flat). They are even attractive enough to serve from at the dining table, and of course are the best thing for picnics, etc. Love them!

These bottles are so classy, I almost expected them to start speaking French. But nope—they're sturdy, crystal-clear plastic and come with screw caps that seal tighter than my grandma’s cookie jar.

I bought them thinking “Eh, backup wine bottles.” But oh boy—now I’m out here bottling everything from fancy juice to that one “homemade elderberry syrup” I made that one time (don’t ask how it turned out).

They’re lightweight but tough—I dropped one (okay, three) and they bounced like champs. I wouldn’t recommend dribbling them like basketballs, but hey, it’s nice to know they can handle a kitchen counter fumble.

Good quality plastic. Looks like a real glass bottle, but because it's plastic, it can be used onstage as a theatrical prop.
