NIST will include and share your contact information in our information systems to enable us to manage interactions and relationships with you, our customer, and review how NIST provides products, services, and support. We do this by aggregating customer data from a number of authorized NIST systems. Your information will not be shared with information systems that are not authorized by NIST.

  1. Purpose of Information Collection: This contact form is designed to collect information from users who wish to obtain assistance from NIST with using the iEdison application or Bayh Dole Act.
  2. Planned Use of Your Information: The information collected through this form will only be used for administrative purposes in support of case resolution.
  3. Information Sharing: NIST will not share this information with external organizations and contracted parties for any reason. However, by submitting the information, the user is accepting any associated risks with submitting this information because this information is not stored within NIST system boundaries.
  4. Information Protection: While NIST will take reasonable precautions to protect any information submitted, NIST considers the requested information to be minimal and non-sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The electronic transmission of non-sensitive PII is equivalent to transmitting the same information by the U.S. mail, a private delivery service, courier, facsimile, or voice. Although each of these methods has vulnerabilities, the transmitted information can only be compromised because of theft, fraud, or other illegal activity. By transmitting this information, the user is indicating their acceptance of this risk.
