Ingredients

  1. 1 cup moong
  2. 1 tomato chopped
  3. 1/2 cup fresh coconut grated
  4. 2 red chilli
  5. 1 green chilli
  6. 1 tsp fennel seeds
  7. 4 cloves
  8. 10 cashews
  9. 1/2 tsp pepper corns
  10. 2 tsp jagarry
  11. 2 small pieces of tamarind
  12. Salt to taste
  13. 2 tsp coriander leaves chopped
  14. 2 tsp oil

    Heat oil and fry red chillies, add cashews, fennel seeds, pepper corns, tamarind jagarry and tomato chopped fry till soft add salt cool it and grind it to a smooth paste with coconut.

    Cook moong till soft add the paste and salt and cook for a while.

    Finely add chopped coriander leaves.

    Moong Kurma is ready to serve with rice and chapati.
