This is a recipe I found years ago and is my families favorite cookies. At Christmas time I add rainbow chips instead of just chocolate chips to make more festive.

Ingredients

  1. 2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 1 tsp baking soda
  3. 1 tsp salt
  4. 1 cup butter softened
  5. 3/4 cup sugar
  6. 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  7. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  8. 2 eggs
  9. 12 oz chocolate chips

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract.

  3. 3

    Beat in eggs

  4. 4

    Add flour mix to cream mixture.

  5. 5

    Stir in chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Drop by tablespoon full on an ungreased cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between.

  7. 7

    Bake at 375°F for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. 8

    Remove to wire rack to cool.
