1) The set-up is completely different.
2) IMO, most of the areas are clearly labeled and easy to change, even if you don't know CSS.

Excellent post. very helpful. I have a question on the spacing 'between' tables. I am trying to adjust them. see the attachment.

its the line break <br /> at the end in 'forumbit_depth1_cat' file in the 'Forum Bit Templates' templates (MyBB 1.4.3)

can anyone help me?

I want to make my background image fluid...meaning I want it where it doesn't repeat itself yet it will shrink/stretch to cover up your screen

Note: The third sample uses no Javascipt, so all you need is
1) to add code to your "additional CSS" in MyBB ACP > Themes
and
2) use a unique class on the image in your template.
