Hey! What are your fav Constructiprowl fics? Ever read Empire of Dirt by interface on Ao3? Scrapper lives and the Gestalt are basically a mafia ruling Cybertron behind the scenes. There's also some soulmate au mixed in along with the angst. It's just so freaking good, probably the best Constructiprowl fic I've read.

I'm working on how I would integrate the other celestial primates into LMK (which does mean I've gone down a bit of a primate rabbit hole) and for the hell of it I thought I would associate the 4 celestial primates + MK with the five elements system aka Wuxing.

Wukong - Fire. This is canon to the journey to the west book btw. For Obvious reasons.
Macaque - Water. I know a lot of the fandom associates him with wind because of the Macaque King in the original book, but that's not actually an element in the Wuxing system. I initially chose water because it seemed fitting for how opposite he is with Wukong, but upon further investigation: Water is associated with the color black, the traits lined up, and its sensory organ is the ears. It really worked out perfectly.
Chikao Mahou (The Red Buttocked Horse Monkey) - Earth. A character who has never appeared, but when I looked at what Chikao is said to be able to do ("Has knowledge of yin and yang, Understands human affairs, Is adept in its daily life, And able to avoid death and lengthen its life"), Earth seemed like a good fit. In basic terms, as an element it is associated with stability, containment, and fidelity, which seemed fitting for the character I'm working on.
Tongbi Yuanhou (The Long Armed Gibbon) - Wood. The Gibbon was the last one I associated with an element, so Wood was all that was left, but what I found in my research is that Wood is associated with grasping, reaching, and that fit for a the associations the Gibbon has ("Seize the sun and the moon, Shorten a thousand mountains, Distinguish the auspicious from the inauspicious, And manipulate planets and stars.")
MK - Metal. Initially I picked it for it's association with his mechs, but then upon investigation it really worked with his relationship with water and fire. Metal is said to purify Water in this system (helping to redeem Macaque) while Water can rust Metal (Macaque in season 1 trying to corrupt MK), and Fire can both refine and mold Metal, but can also melt it.
