The initial phase of the project worked to develop a comprehensive design language to better enforce our branding and to highlight an increased investment in UX for our users.

Once we landed on a design language, Orizon used that to design a handful of core screens.

Finally, those core screens were used to generate a Figma file that included the final design assets which will be used to implement the design system component library in code.

The core deliverable was achieved on-time and under-budget.

We had a standing weekly meeting with the primary designed assigned to our team who would go through the work completed for that week.

We would leave comments and provide feedback, which would be incorporated and re-evaluated during the next meeting.

In between these meetings were discussions in Slack to keep everyone aligned.

Orizon also used a project management and proposal tool called Bonsai to keep objectives organized.

I’m the founder of a travel technology startup.

What challenge were you trying to address with Orizon Design?

We’ve hired Orizon Design for UX/UI design services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a discovery and strategy phase that lasted for a week. We had an initial call where we discussed what we were trying to achieve and our value proposition. Orizon Design came back to us with a presentation illustrating the personas and target demographic. They also came up with high-level flows on how the platform should look.

Once we validated those, we entered the design phase, which lasted for six weeks. Orizon Design used Figma for the final deliverables. The website is complex because it includes AI, so Orizon Design had to strategically add entry points and ensure it was easy to navigate for any traveler using the platform for the first time.

We’ve just wrapped up the design phase, and the next phase is development. We’re also in conversations with Orizon Design about creating an explainer video to highlight the features of the platform and present them to potential investors.

We’re in frequent contact with Aurelién, the founder and design director. We also work closely with Kiera, the design lead for this project. However, there's a whole team involved in the project, although they discuss things internally.

We found them on Dribbble and read their reviews on Google. We also checked out their website and used ChatGPT to find out more about them.

We’ve spent around $50,000.

We started working with them in June 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Orizon Design has done a fantastic job getting all the design elements right. We’re really happy with the partnership on the design phase, so we want to engage them for the explainer video as well.

How did Orizon Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re efficient and quick. They take feedback and iterate the design at a fast pace. Orizon Design doesn’t take a yes for everything, which is good. They ask questions and give creative insights. They give us options and explain what they think will work from a big-picture standpoint.

They meet deadlines and stay on budget. We communicate via Slack, which is very fluid. We can provide feedback on the Figma files and tag the team. We don’t have to wait for them to get back to us, which enhances the whole experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very professional, creative, and detail-oriented. They take the time to understand the brand and position and translate that into beautifully designed screens. The user flows are intuitive, and the visuals are high-impact. The feel is fresh and modern, which is exactly what we had in mind.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their prices aren’t low, but they give quality, so it’s good. There's nothing I would have them improve.

Orizon was asked to help us develop our new brand identity and work on the UI/UX of our fully-responsive web app. They went through an audit of the current experience and extensive competitor overview to understand how we should be positioning ourselves. They tackled wire-framing, prototyping, exploring new visual languages, optimizing for retention and conversion, and fleshing out all the required screens to make sure the platform could be correctly implemented.

Orizon was very organized and communicative from the beginning. They put together a detailed project timeline with weekly milestones that kept everyone on the same page and on track. We had some pretty aggressive targets and they delivered on time every time. And the design was was incredible.

They work very fast, but not at the expense of quality. The designs they delivered are world class. We also had weekly sprints with the design team via Zoom and they always responded quickly on Slack. There was never a time where they didn't respond. Great communication.

Their design work is second to none, and they move unbelievably fast. The amount of different visual directions they were able to provide us was mind boggling. Having so many great options to chose from within the first 2 weeks gave us a ton of confidence in Orizon's ability to deliver and they continued to follow through throughout the project.

I am a CEO of a sports technology company based in Canada.

For what projects/services did your company hire Orizon Design?

We launched the beta version of our product (a mobile app), tested it in a few key markets, and then approached Orizon to help us with a new UI design that would provide a whole other level of user experience.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We searched on Clutch to find our top 5 vendors with expertise in mobile app UX/UI design. We then followed up with a review of each vendor's design portfolio and a meeting with the design team.

This helped us narrow our choices down to 3. From there, the final decision was based on 4 factors: location, client reviews, design portfolio and cost.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Orizon has a comprehensive project management framework, beginning with a kickoff meeting, followed by and audit of your company vs. competitors. Next, wireframes were presented and finalized, followed by the visual design exploration and then finalization.

There was constant communication throughout to ensure the team was moving in the right direction. Once completed, Orizon handed off a complete design file with all the tools my tech team needed to implement the design in the app.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

My team worked directly with one of their UX/UI designers, as well as a project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Orizon did an amazing job! They listened to our needs and objectives and produced a new UI design that perfectly matched our vision. We launched the new design in January and user feedback about the new design has been fantastic!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The majority of the project work was done using Slack. It was easy to post visual examples and comments using this platform, allowing both our teams to work efficiently and effectively.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their UX/UI design portfolio impressed us the most. They clearly had the vision and the expertise needed to help us reach our objectives. We also liked that they had a business model that allowed them to work quickly; providing high quality results in a matter of weeks, not months.

The ability to work quickly with excellent results is critical for tech startups.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No areas for improvement. Overall, the project progressed nicely and was a success.

I am the Creative Director at an Arts & Entertainment company located in Vancouver Canada.

For what projects/services did your company hire Orizon Design, and what were your goals?

We wanted to develop and mobile app that ties into the music side of our company. The app is called Humm Token and it allows users to purchase a royalty share in a song and trade it like a stock. Our primary goal is to create alternate revenue streams for recording artists to generate an income without having to sacrifice their earnings to a traditional label.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We did an extensive search for Mobile App Developers in Canada and narrowed it down to 5 major companies, Orizon being one of them. After interviews and a few phone calls, it was clear that Orizon was the best choice for us based on the timeline they provided and the price point offered. Orizon being incredibly prepared and having some of the best design aesthetics in the industry was just icing on the cake.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The initial stage of our contract was for 6 weeks and the primary deliverables were to create the user interface and user experience. We had weekly meetings over Google Meet to collaborate on ideas and see the progress of the project every step of the way. We now are looking at starting a second contract with Orizon to finalize the App Development on the back end.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We were assigned a project Manager and Creative lead along with a handful of UI/UX Developers that would participate in every meeting.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Currently, our App is only finished the design stage but what has been completed so far from Orizion far exceeded my expectations. My team and I feel that all the deliverables we have received truly reflect all the initial conversations we had in regards to the design and feel of the project.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

For our project, we used Slack as our primary method of direct messaging for any notes or thoughts we had on the project. Additionally, we would have a scheduled meeting every Monday over Google Meet to discuss the project's current standing and where we are taking it. Overall Orizon was very diligent in replying to our messages or phone calls and was quick to upload any files we needed to review to progress the project along.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their presentation and Ui/Ux design abilities initially were the things that caught my eye from Orizon, but a few weeks into working with them the thing that really impressed me the most was the team's ability to turn around our concepts so quickly into a tangible thing. Additionally, the attention to detail put into every potential option we had to pick from was incredible. They really know what they are doing and how best to implement each idea.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As of right now, I have no complaints I think the entire project so far has been a massive success.

I’m the CEO and head of product for BoxedUp, an equipment rental marketplace company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Orizon Design?

We went through a rebranding process and had many new features. Our team needed to tear down and rebuild our desktop and mobile app. As a result, we engaged Orizon. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We spent much time on user research, so we knew our customers well before Orizon started working with us. Our team told them what our customers cared about and what we could provide them. From there, they designed a product that solved our customers’ pain points. They mainly used Figma and InVision for this project. 

We had plenty of requests; we had a spreadsheet of requirements and use cases that our customers wanted to see in the product. Moreover, we needed a feature that helped our customers discover what they wanted to capture, and that was the most opaque, non-clear requirement we had. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with four people from Orizon. Our main point of contact was Aurélien (Founder & Design Director), while Olivia (Project Administrator & Junior Designer), Zach, and Veronique (Product Designers) were my secondary points of contact. 

How did you come to work with Orizon Design?

I found Orizon through Dribble. I was looking for someone to capture the look and feel that we had in our vision. It was tough because we were starting anew, so I was thrilled about finding and hiring them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $65,000–$70,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted from June–September 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We measured success through user feedback. Although it wasn’t quantitative, the reception of our audience was important. We also checked if their designs performed better than what we previously had. So far, comments were positive; customers said the product was beautiful and polished. One customer said they’d be crazy to do something without us now that they’d seen what we’d designed. 

How did Orizon Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was Orizon’s strong suit. I appreciated how well-run and organized they were. Most of the time, design agencies could be good at design but not management. In terms of tools, we used Monday to collaborate. We mainly used Slack to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Orizon was principled and had a sound project management style, which was just as important as the product we were making. Few people could design good products on a tight timeline and deliver them the way they said they would. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there wasn’t any. Before we started the project, I thought they were too expensive, but three weeks later, I quickly realized why — they were great, and I was happy to pay them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust Orizon because they’re great at what they do. If you can bring the voice of your customer to a team like Orizon, the project will go smoother. Apart from that, stay on top of your communications. They’re great communicators, so you should focus on aligning and getting customer feedback throughout the build process.

I am the Head of Product for a venture studio.

For what projects/services did your company hire Orizon Design UI/UX?

We had existing low fidelity wireframes for a new project, but had a constraint on internal design resources to design the hi-fi screens. We hired Orizon to enhance and complete the UX/UI design and create a logo.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I interviewed multiple design partners, and ultimately selected Orizon because of their previous work.

We had a 6 week engagement with Orizon and went through numerous design iterations before landing on the final output. Each week we had a design review and I provided asynchronous feedback through InVision and Slack throughout the project. Their team used Figma to design the app layout, refreshing our lo-fi wireframes, and then created the branding and UI for the final version.

Orizon also worked on a logo design in parallel, we went through 30+ logo designs, but ultimately didn't like any of the options provided, so decided to not use any of them after the project.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with 4 people during the engagement. Founder and Lead Designer, account manager, a Sr. Designer, and a Jr. Designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were really pleased with the app design portion of the project. Orizon's designs are the foundation of the app we are currently developing. I turned the app into a clickable prototype with real content to demo with prospective clients, and received great feedback from everyone I've talked to.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The weekly design reviews were effective, but only meeting once a week led to a lot of iterations that could have been avoided. The team was quick to respond over Slack and clearly followed a shared project plan in Coda.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Orizon's designers are very creative and really good at UI design.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our specific project required a lot of direction and guidance. Because the designers are so creative, some of the iterations valued design over practicality and didn't match our business needs or communicate a clear UX for our target customers. We eventually landed on a great outcome, but had to drive there intentionally. If Orizon had shared the work in progress Figma file during the engagement, I could have provided better input, sooner. We only got to see the designs once a week through InVision.
