1. Name of a Roman individual who partook in the rape of the Sabine women
   • 27 BCE – 25 BCE, Titus Livius, Ab Urbe Condita 1.9.11:

     Unam longe ante alias specie ac pulchritudine insignem a globo Thalassii cuiusdam raptam ferunt multisque sciscitantibus cuinam eam ferrent, identidem ne quis violaret Thalassio ferri clamitatum; inde nuptialem hanc vocem factam.

     One woman, extraordinary in her appearance and beauty, was captured by a group led by a certain Thalassius. Since many inquired about whom they were bringing the girl to, they repeatedly shouted she was to be carried off to Thalassius so that no one would touch her; henceforth, this was made the wedding chant
