     According to the newsletter, when (Chu Ke-chia) graduated from a Shanghai middle school in April 1969 at the age of 17 he joined a large number of educated youths settling in the countryside. He himself settled on a production team in Mengla County, Hsihsuangpanna Thai Autonomous Chou, Yunnan Province.
