1. An ancient Greek Ionic temple-telesterion on the north side of the Acropolis, dedicated to the goddess Athena.

     This north wall was intentionally incorporated into the fabric of its successor, but not for purely structural reasons; it was overlapped by the Erechtheion south porch, the Porch of the Maidens, but did not serve as the foundation for it.
