語源

Presumably from 中期英語 harageous, which is also attested with closer spelling haraious. haraious bears comparison to Old French aragier (“become enraged”), though all 中期英語 forms have the initial h, perhaps through the influence of Old French harer (“to set a dog on”), whence English harass, etc.
